Over the last few years Employment Law has changed regularly. Many changes are introduced at the beginning of the financial year in April and halfway through the financial year in October, but changes are not restricted to these dates alone. For example the Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees (Amendment) Regulations 2010 came into force on 5 June 2011 and the Bribery Act 2010 which came into force on 1 July 2011.
Consequently, keeping up with the changes requires a constant look-out and understanding how they impact on your organisation, and implementing any changes that result add to this workload. If you don't have the skills or resources to keep up to date with the changes, fully understand the impact on your organisation, and apply the changes where relevant then consider engaging an external consultant.
