Many HR personnel have little training and experience with the financial aspect of running a business and consequence lack the confidence or adequate skills to support any business case with financial information.

Sarah from SFM Consulting had struggled with financial information prior to taking a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance  - an ACCA qualification which enables managers to understand financial information and link it to broader strategic decisions.  The studying added a new interest and dimension to her operational and HR skills as well as revealing an aptitude for interpretation and analysis of financial information within SMEs. 

She then put the qualification to its fullest use by developing and delivering courses on finance for managers firstly at Specsavers Optical Group where she developed financial workshops for the annual conference.  Since undertaking this qualification Sarah has been employed in positions where she held budgetary and P&L (profit and loss) responsibility.
